Reading to Learn

To raise the capability of students’ learning for academic pursuit, Reading to Learn uses the following six strategies:

1. To promote reading through the Chinese and English Extensive Reading Schemes
2. To develop reading habits and create reading atmosphere in school
3. To expose students to different types of texts
4. To encourage students to explore outside reading resources
5. To encourage students to engage in On-line reading and self-learning
6. To introduce an Award System to encourage students to take part in the reading activities and produce meaningful feedback
