Cheering are the Dolphins

SGSS Diamond Jubilee Speech Day (26 Nov 2021)

  • See how dolphins swim above sea level, marking the 60th Anniversary Speech Day of Shau Kei Wan Government Secondary School, and the unveiling ceremony of the Commemorative Sculpture.

Our Principal, Ms YAN, welcomed guests, parents, prize winners and graduates on this joyful afternoon. She showed appreciation and support to all graduates and prize winners, celebrating their joy and successes. She also gave thanks to the Guest of Honour, Mr AU Tin-lun, Bruce, an alumnus of the school, and all other members for their continuous support to the school.

In Mr Au’s address, he emphasised the essential aspect to becoming better people was the willingness to improve. The kind of self-awareness that everyone needed would allow oneself to be open-minded, receptive and collaborative. His speech inspired the audience with the move to self-improvement, striving for excellence.

  • A graceful performance by the Chinese Orchestra members brought the audience a wonderful and imaginative stage of music and dance, The Joyous Youths and Dance of the Golden Snake. After the ceremony, the audience attended another ceremony in the school garden, unveiling the dolphin sculpture. With the presence of the guests, parents, teachers, students and the art piece, the school garden was brightened with colours, conversations and happy smiles.

A dolphin in mixed colours, sparkling vitality and vibrance, gathered guests and SGSS members together, capturing the very precious moments of the SGSS Diamond Jubilee. ******
